A daytrip to Glasgow is certain recommendable, but also outings to places such as Tighnabruaich, Dunoon, Inveraray (with its world-famous prison museum) and the Isle of Bute are a must.
Melldalloch Lodges lies in the middle of spectacular mountains and old woodlands, where small streams fuse together into a breathtaking landscape.Deer are known to frequent the site in search of young grass and plants. A large variety of wild birds can be seen throughout the area. Your remembrances at Argyll will be intense.
Mellalloch Lodges is an excellent basis for visits at famous places as Isle or Bute, Tarbet, Inveraray, Mull or Kintyre, Isle or Mull, Arran, GlenCoe, Oban and Am Nevis. Fascinating castles, old Clan want to live-, Standing Stones, forts from the iron era and other historical treasures. Feel the mystery and aura of a country that once was witness to Vikings, Clan Wars and Highland Clearances.

There are plenty of possibilities for those who love outdoor activities too. Here you have time to enjoy golf, tennis, cycling or walking. You can even take sailing lessons at the nearby Tighnabruaich Sailing School.
Melldalloch, meaning hill between two lakes, lies on the Cowal Peninsula close to Loch Fyne with its many quiet beaches. The Loch that is in direct connection with the open sea offers many fishing opportunities. In the direct surroundings of the park, you can also fish on Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout. Permits are required for some Lochs in the area. The reception on site can help you with obtaining fishing-permits for the local lochs.

The free-standing wooden lodges offer views over forests and mountains. All lodges are built of the best Finnish wood that perfectly fits in the natural surroundings, are isolated, are been completely furnished, comprising a large living/dining room with colour television, a fully-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, oven/grill, toaster, coffee machine, microwave and fridge and a bathroom with shower and toilet and large covered veranda.
The Bute Lodge is for 6 persons and has 3 large bedrooms.

Bed linen included. You have to bring your own kitchen en bath towels.
